1. Who we are

FindMortgageProtection.com (the "Site") is run by Clear Path Creative, LLC ("Clear Path Creative," "we," "us" or "our"), a Colorado company. The Site is a referral service. We don't sell life insurance through the Site. When you ask for a quote, we connect you with licensed life insurance agents.

This Privacy Policy covers the Site, the questions you answer on it, and any calls, texts or emails about a request you send through it. The Site is meant for people in the United States.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

When you answer the questions on the Site and send a request, we collect:

  • Contact details: your first and last name and your mobile phone number.
  • Your answers: your ZIP code (and the state we work out from it), whether you have a mortgage and about how much is owed, who the coverage would protect, your gender, your age, whether you've used tobacco or nicotine in the last 12 months, and whether you have VA or military benefits.
  • Your consent: whether you checked the consent box, the exact consent wording you saw and its version, the date and time, the page address, your browser details and your IP address. We keep this as proof that you agreed to be contacted.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, we and our service providers collect technical information, such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, time on the page, the page that sent you to us, and the ad that brought you here (for example campaign tags, ad and campaign IDs, and click IDs from Meta and Google). We collect it with cookies, pixels and server logs, described in section 8.

Information from others

Advertising platforms, such as Meta and Google, may tell us how our ads performed. The partners who receive your request may tell us whether they reached you and what happened next, so we can measure and improve our ads.

3. How we use your information

  • To handle your request: we send your contact details and answers to the licensed insurance agencies and agents on our Partner list so they can contact you about life insurance.
  • To keep a record of your consent, so we and our partners can show you agreed to be contacted.
  • To run and improve the Site and our ads, including measuring which ads lead to requests and telling advertising platforms that a request was sent.
  • To protect people and the Site: to prevent fraud, spam and misuse, and to keep the Site secure.
  • To meet legal duties, answer lawful requests and enforce our Terms.

We use your tobacco answer only so the agent can talk about the right prices with you. We don't use it to decide anything about you.

4. Who we share it with

Partners who handle your request

When you send a request and agree to be contacted, we share your contact details and answers with the companies on our Partner list. Under some state laws this counts as selling personal information. Those companies may call or text you about life insurance at the number you gave us, as described in the consent you agreed to. Each partner uses your information under its own privacy policy. Once we share it, we don't control how a partner uses it, so please contact the partner directly about how it uses your information and the choices it offers you.

Service providers

We use companies that help us run the Site and handle requests, such as website hosting and security, a customer relationship management system that stores requests, an internal messaging tool that routes requests to agents, website analytics (for example Clicky Web Analytics), and advertising tools. They may use your information only to provide their services to us.

Advertising platforms

We advertise on platforms such as Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google. To measure our ads, we use their tools, including Meta's pixel, Meta's Conversions API and Google Ads conversion tracking. When you send a request, we tell these platforms that a request was sent, unless your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal (see section 5). That message can include technical details such as your IP address, browser details, the ad click ID and a scrambled (hashed) copy of your phone number, which the platform uses to match that message to an account. We don't send advertising platforms your answers to the questions. We may add or change advertising and analytics tools over time; this policy describes how any of them may be used.

Other reasons

  • When the law requires it, or to protect the rights, safety and security of you, us or others.
  • As part of a merger, sale or other business transfer, subject to this Privacy Policy.
  • With your permission.
  • In combined or de-identified form that can't reasonably be linked to you.

5. Your choices

  • Texts: reply STOP to any text to stop texts from that sender.
  • Calls: ask the caller to put you on their do-not-call list.
  • Sharing: email us (section 13) to ask us not to share your information with anyone else.

Opting out with us doesn't opt you out with a partner who already has your information. Please tell that partner too.

Cookies and ads: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, change your ad settings in your Meta account and in Google's My Ad Center, and opt out of interest-based ads from many companies at optout.aboutads.info and optout.networkadvertising.org.

Browser privacy signals: we don't respond to "Do Not Track" signals, because there's no common standard for them. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of sharing your information for targeted advertising from that browser. That means we don't load our advertising pixels for that browser, and we don't send advertising platforms information about your visit or your request.

6. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, state privacy laws (for example in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas and Oregon) may give you the right to:

  • know what personal information we have about you and get a copy of it;
  • correct information that's wrong;
  • delete your information;
  • opt out of the sale of your information, sharing for targeted advertising, and profiling;
  • appeal if we turn down your request.

To make a request, email info@clearpathcreative.com with "Privacy request" in the subject line, or "Do not sell or share" if you only want to opt out. Tell us your name and the phone number you used. We'll confirm the request comes from you before we act on it, and we'll answer within the time the law requires, usually 45 days. You can have an authorized agent make a request for you; we may ask for proof that they're allowed to. If we turn down your request, reply to our answer with "Appeal" in the subject line and we'll review it. We won't treat you differently for using these rights.

Notice for California residents

In the last 12 months we have collected these categories of personal information: identifiers (name, phone number, IP address); characteristics such as gender, age and veteran status; commercial information (your interest in life insurance and your answers about the mortgage); internet activity (how you used the Site and the ad that brought you); and approximate location (ZIP code and state). We collect them from you, from your device, from advertising platforms and from our partners, for the purposes in section 3.

We share identifiers, characteristics and commercial information with the insurance partners on our Partner list, which counts as a sale under California law. We share identifiers and internet activity with advertising platforms, which counts as sharing for targeted advertising under California law. We don't knowingly sell or share the information of anyone under 16. We don't use sensitive personal information to infer things about you.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your request and its consent record for as long as we need them for the purposes in this policy, including being able to show that you agreed to be contacted, and as long as the law requires. We keep technical and advertising data only as long as we need it for those purposes. When we no longer need information, we delete it or de-identify it. Our service providers and the partners who receive your request keep information under their own policies, and we don't control how long they keep it.

8. Cookies and pixels

Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. Pixels are small pieces of code that tell a website or ad platform when a page loads or a form is sent. We use them to make the Site work, to keep it secure, and to measure our ads. Some are set by other companies, such as Meta, Google and Clicky Web Analytics, under their own privacy policies. You can control cookies in your browser settings and with the tools in section 5.

9. How we protect it

We use reasonable safeguards, such as encrypted connections and limited access, to protect your information. No website or system is completely secure, so we can't promise that information will never be accessed without permission.

10. Children

The Site is for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we'll delete it. If you think a child has sent us information, please contact us.

11. Other websites

The Site may link to other websites. Their own privacy policies apply when you visit them, and we aren't responsible for their practices.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top and give any other notice the law requires. If you keep using the Site after an update, the updated policy applies.
